Blagodat stands on the edge of Belokurikha in the Altai foothills, a town known above all for its radon springs and the sanatoriums that have worked here since the late nineteenth century. The ski area is small: three lifts and around three kilometres of runs, but the vertical is respectable at almost five hundred metres. From the upper points you can see the Altai break off into the plain, running away to the horizon.

What visitors say about the resort
The chairlift up Tserkovka collects most of the praise: the half-hour ride is treated as an attraction in itself for its views over the Altai foothills. Visitors note the mild climate, dependable snow and rare strong winds that keep the slopes running, regular grooming and floodlights on some runs. The green pistes are considered good for beginners, and the restaurant earns steady compliments for tasty food, quick service and courteous staff.
The slope condition draws criticism - reviewers call it the most beaten-up hill in Belokurikha, rutted and pocked with holes by the end of the day. Weekends bring a noticeable lift queue and a shortage of parking, while weekdays stay almost empty. Prices are judged out of step with what is on offer and rental outright expensive. Experienced skiers find the runs too gentle and short, and some pistes open only when snow is deep enough.
