The resort was built on the shore of the Songhua reservoir in China's Jilin province and opened in 2014, one of the first large areas raised from nothing for ski tourism in China. The hill is low, with around 570 metres of vertical and mostly easy to intermediate runs. Winters here are dry and very cold, which produces the famous phenomenon in nearby Jilin city: along the unfrozen river the trees coat themselves entirely in rime, and people travel from across the country to see it.

What visitors say about the resort
The hardware and organisation earn the praise: the lifts are new, spotless and fast, and riders report barely any waiting even when the place fills up. The mountain is split into themed zones for beginners, intermediates, groomed cruising, off-piste and parks. Novices get the Family Zone by chair B and several magic carpets at the base. Reviewers value the developed base with its hotels and the short hop from Jilin city.
The lift ticket price draws criticism, with visitors advised to buy cheaper through shops in town. The runs are called good but undemanding, so confident skiers get bored quickly. Foreign guests' sharpest complaint is local riding habits: people ski recklessly and there are far more collisions than an established resort would tolerate. Coffee at the mountain cafe is dismissed as an expensive disappointment, and the language barrier also comes up.
