Battle of Friends

The final race of the men's World Cup is shaping up to be just as interesting. Two close friends - Atle Lie McGrath and Lucas Pinheiro Braathen - are battling for the World Cup slalom title. In the first run, both finished with similar results - Lucas Pinheiro Braathen was fifth, while Atle Lie McGrath was sixth, with half a second between them. Loïc Meillard posted the fastest time in the first run. The Swiss skier was 0.67 seconds ahead of Henrik Kristoffersen and 0.79 seconds ahead of Timon Haugan.

Battle of Friends

Clément Noël is also still in contention - the Frenchman is fourth after the first run, having completed the course 1.03 seconds behind Meillard. But to win the World Cup, he needs to win the race and hope that both McGrath and Braathen have a poor result.
