Franjo von Allmen named to Forbes Europe’s 30 Under 30

Franjo von Allmen has been named to the Europe 30 Under 30 list, published annually by the American magazine Forbes. The Swiss alpine skier was included in the Sports & Games category after an outstanding performance at the Olympic Games in Italy this February.

At his first Olympics, the 24-year-old athlete won three gold medals. He won the downhill, super-G and team combined, where he competed alongside Tanguy Nef. As a result, von Allmen became the leading star of alpine skiing at the Games.

Forbes notes that at the age of 23, the Swiss skier won the downhill at the 2025 World Alpine Ski Championships. He became the youngest men’s world champion in the history of the discipline.

The athlete’s path to success was not easy. After his father died unexpectedly when von Allmen was 17, he faced serious financial difficulties and even considered ending his career. The funds needed for training and competitions were raised through crowdfunding. He later earned a place on Switzerland’s national team.

A turning point came at the 2022 World Junior Championships in Canada, where the alpine skier won three silver medals. After that, Forbes emphasizes, his career entered a successful period.

In the World Cup standings at the end of last season, von Allmen finished second in the downhill standings and sixth - in the super-G standings. During the season, the Swiss skier stood on the podium seven times:

• two wins;
• three third-place finishes;
• two second-place finishes.
