Levi Granted Permission to Host the First World Cup Slaloms on November 14 and 15

Today, after checking the snow cover and the condition of the course, the organisers of the Alpine Skiing World Cup event in Levi received permission to hold the competitions.

There is still no natural snow at the Finnish resort, but the course has been prepared with the help of snow cannons. The season’s first slalom races will therefore take place in Levi on 14 and 15 November.

  • 14 November — women’s slalom: first run at 12:00, second at 15:00;
  • 15 November — men’s slalom: first run at 12:00, second at 15:00.

All times in the schedule are Moscow time.

The weather in Levi is still far from wintry: daytime temperatures are rising to +5°, and there is no natural snow. Three of the 44 pistes are open, and three of the 28 lifts are also operating. A more noticeable drop in temperature is expected at the beginning of next week.
