The ski area runs from 984 to 1,868 m above sea level - a 884 m vertical. In January the daytime average is 4 °C at the base and -2 °C at the summit. Average daytime highs at the summit stay below freezing from December through January. Last season brought 147 cm of snow here. The snowiest month was January: 58 cm over 5 days with snowfall. The snowpack was deepest in November, at roughly 33 cm. These are observations from a single season, not a long-term norm: a snowy year here can be twice a lean one.
