Trail information
Gora Belaya stands in the Sverdlovsk region some forty kilometres from Nizhny Tagil, in the Middle Urals. The area is small: three lifts and six kilometres of runs, nearly all intermediate. The vertical is around 250 metres, and the slopes drop through taiga. Snow settles early and stays late - the season opens in early December and closes at the end of April, which is ordinary for these latitudes.

What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for the chairlift above all: a comfortable ride, and runs that suit both beginners and skiers who already handle speed. Visitors say the pistes are usually groomed decently, and they like the clean mountain air and the views over the Urals taiga. Families point out that the hill is more than skiing - a hotel, a pool, a skating rink, a rope park and instructors on hand. The car park is described as large, guarded and cleared of snow.
What draws criticism is the handling of peak days: half an hour in the ticket queue and up to forty minutes for the lift, and in hard frost the cable car starts later than advertised while the line waits outside. Prices annoy people separately - single rides, the cafe and the hotel alike; canteen food is called poor, and some counters take cash only. Rental gets its own complaints: worn kit, steep hire charges, stones on the piste.
