Skálafell is a volcanic ski resort in the municipality of Kjosarhreppur in southwest Iceland, approximately a thirty-minute drive from the capital, Reykjavík.

Skálafell is one of two ski slopes in the Reykjavík area, the other being in the Bláfjöll mountain range. Skálafell offers very good conditions for snowboarders. Skálafell boasts numerous slopes, some extending up to 7 km, suitable for beginners and professionals alike, as well as a ski lodge, 4 chairlifts, freeride runs and snowmaking. The ski slope is open only during the winter months, when there is sufficient snow cover on the mountain, usually from early February to mid-April.
