Stoneham ski resort is about a 20-minute drive from Quebec, and the lifts operate daily until late evening. Night skiing is very popular in the region, and many people ski and snowboard in the evenings. The many wide pistes through forest clearings are ideal for beginners, experienced skiers and experts. Families with children are also well catered for at Stoneham. Several first-class snowparks and a halfpipe round out the facilities. Stoneham winter sports resort became known for hosting the 2013 Snowboarding World Championships.
