Weather at Wanlong

Weather at Wanlong: a six-day forecast for three elevations of the mountain. Temperature, precipitation, wind and cloud cover from MET Norway. Updated several times a day.

What the weather at Wanlong is usually like

The ski area runs from 1,550 to 2,110 m above sea level - a 560 m vertical. In January the daytime average is -7 °C at the base and -11 °C at the summit. Plan for that 4 °C gap: what feels right at the base will be cold up top. The summit sits around -11 °C at the same time of year - at that point the wind matters more than the thermometer.

Average daytime highs at the summit stay below freezing from November through February.

Snowmaking covers 100% of the runs, so the start of the season barely depends on when natural snow arrives.

By March the base is around 5 °C while the summit still holds 1 °C: on days like that, start early and stay high. Based on monthly averages and the resort elevations. For the coming days, see the forecast above.
