What visitors say about the resort

Reviews call Åre Scandinavia's leading resort: ninety kilometres of pistes, World Cup events, and a lively village with bars and restaurants. Visitors praise the long descent from Åreskutan and the variety, from beginner slopes to steep couloirs.

The main complaint is the weather: wind and low cloud regularly close the upper mountain, while in winter there are only a few hours of daylight. Prices are also high by Swedish standards. Visitors also report crowds during Swedish school holidays.
