Vemdalsskalet

The Vemdalsskalet ski resort is located in Vemdalen (Sweden, Northern Sweden (Norrland), Jämtland). It offers 18 km of pistes for skiing and snowboarding, served by 13 lifts.

The Vemdalsskalet ski resort is located in the well-known Vemdalen resort region, at the top of a mountain pass (Skalspasset). It extends across Hovde (914 m) and Skalsfjelle (946 m). The resort offers pistes of all difficulty levels for skiing and snowboarding. Modern chairlifts serve the main routes in the winter sports area. There is a wide variety of runs for beginners and experts. Après-ski can be found at the well-known Vemdalsskalets Högfjällshotell.

The Vemdalsskalet ski resort offers pistes of all difficulty levels on Hovde and Skalsfjelle. The two mountains are fully connected by pistes and lifts. Most runs lead through forest clearings into the valleys. Only the upper section is above the treeline, offering spectacular scenic views. The base area at Skalets Torg is ideal for families and beginners.

70% of the slopes have snowmaking.

Longest run

The longest run here is Hildings, 2.5 km long, with a vertical drop of 350 m. The gentle Hildings run leads from Skalsfjelle to the base station of Hovde Express.

Most difficult run

Skals. Length: 1.5 km. Vertical drop: 350 m. This difficult run leads very steeply downhill to the valley beneath the Pass Express.
