Idre Fjäll

Idre Fjäll ski area has wide pistes of all difficulty levels for skiing and snowboarding, served by chairlifts and drag lifts. The Idre Fjäll resort village is located directly at the winter sports resort of the same name. Visitors can also enjoy a wide range of other activities, including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding and snowmobile tours. Idre Fjäll ski resort has plenty to offer families with children.

Good to know

Most pistes at Idre Fjäll ski resort are easy or intermediate. The slopes on the western and southern sides are very easy and ideal for beginners building confidence. Pistes covering the full range of difficulty levels can be found on the northern side, while the eastern side is better suited to experienced skiers. The resort is home to one of the most challenging slopes in Scandinavia. The Chocken run will make even expert skiers' knees tremble. There are many training slopes and children's areas for families and children.

Longest run

The longest run here is Dalarnas längsta No. 13, measuring 3.5 km, with a vertical drop of 302 m.

Most difficult run

The most difficult run is Chocken No. 24, measuring 0.5 km, with a vertical drop of 161 m. The Chocken piste is one of the most challenging in Scandinavia.

Night skiing

Night skiing is available at the ski resort.

Virtually all runs can be reached by six-person detachable high-speed chairlifts. There is also a four-person chairlift that takes skiers to the difficult pistes on the eastern side. None of the chairlifts has a weather cover. All slopes are also served by drag lifts. This provides access to the pistes even in very windy conditions. Beginners have access to lifts and magic carpets in the valley.
