What visitors say about the resort

Cardrona is praised for its wide, gentle slopes and parks - the best in the country, with the national team training here. Visitors also highlight the sunny weather, views of the Wānaka Valley and its family-friendly facilities.

The road is a drawback: the gravel switchback road uphill intimidates even experienced drivers, and four-wheel drive is required in winter. Wind is another issue, sometimes causing the entire resort to close. There is little challenging terrain.
