What visitors say about the resort

Convenience earns most of the praise: it is about half an hour from Vancouver and parking on the mountain is free, which reviewers contrast with Grouse. They note that it catches more snow than the other city hills and has the most serious terrain of the three, with a large share of advanced runs, so confident intermediates and experts rate it highest. Staff get warm mentions, and tickets cost far less than Whistler.

Crowding draws heavy criticism: weekend lots fill up, leaving a long walk to the lifts, and guests accuse the resort of overselling online tickets, which makes the runs uncomfortably dense and the queues long. Mild, wet weather is the other running complaint - the lower runs go slushy or icy, some trails never open all season, and reliable snow sits up high. Food and lessons are called overpriced, and reviewers resent paying full price when lifts are down and runs closed.
