At an altitude of 1050 metres, the village is home to 4000 residents. It stretches along the foothills of Grand Moucherolle, which rises to 2285 metres. Its enviable location provides easy access to clean air, widely appreciated since the beginning of the last century. New economic activity and the 1968 Winter Olympics led to the village's development. Health tourism, summer holidays and winter sports soon followed. The resort known as "Le Balcon de Villard-Côte 2000" was created in the early 1970s, giving Espace Villard de Lans Corrençon everything needed for direct access to the ski slopes. Espace Villard de Lans Corrençon has never stopped developing, and today visitors are offered modern and varied facilities. With 125 km of pistes, it is the largest ski resort in the Vercors. Wide pistes with gentle or rolling slopes, forested sections and snow-covered open areas are complemented by magnificent, captivating panoramic views.

This is where skiers and snowboarders take the lifts Côte 2000 and Pré des Preys to the ski slopes of Espace Villard-Corrençon.

The defining feature of this area is the combination of forest and rock. This blend of minerals and vegetation gives the Espace Villard de Lans Corrençon ski resort a special atmosphere found in very few places in France.

Worth knowing

Most of the slopes making up the ski area are suitable for intermediate skiers. There are 12 green pistes, including the strategic Salamandre piste, and 12 blue pistes spread throughout the ski area.

For beginners, Espace Villard de Lans Corrençon offers a vast, safe ski area. Here you can easily improve your skiing skills. Two children's ski areas have been created for teaching younger children to ski. One is in the Côte 2000 sector, at the top of the Pré des Preys gondola, while the other is in the centre of the village on Rue de La Colline des Bains. The latter is an ideal place for introducing little ones to the joys of their first glides from an early age.

The White Hare, Rooster and Wolf pistes, served by the Crêtes chairlift, are suitable for the most experienced skiers.
