The praise is for how small and welcoming it is, and reviewers call it an ideal place to put children on skis: gentle gradients, few people about, nobody jostling in a lift line. Prices are among the most affordable around. The black run gets singled out - reckoned the steepest in the Oisans and deliberately left ungroomed, which is exactly why off-piste fans turn up. Visitors like the quiet and the mountain views without any resort bustle.
The thin terrain draws criticism: an experienced skier covers the lot in a couple of hours and finds it repetitive. Almost everything is green or blue, and the more technical red and black are served by a single drag lift set apart from the rest of the area. Dining choice is limited and there is no real resort centre. Reviewers rate it poorly for skiing in bad weather, and the season is short, with lifts running mainly over the winter holidays.
