Ageing infrastructure is the main grievance: the great majority of Val d'Arly lifts are drags, the skiing lacks flow, and waits can run long in places. The top station is low, snow at the bottom is regularly short, and opening depends on the weather. The village itself sits away from the lifts, with a shuttle bridging the gap. Freestylers have nothing to do here, since there is no terrain park.
