Reviewers praise the tidiness and the family focus. The verdict usually reads 'small but fine': grooming is called very good, the slopes are well kept, and the vertical is surprisingly decent for such a compact area. Children enjoy Galstiland, the themed Gallic ski village with its nursery slopes. The modern gondola from the valley, the absence of crowds and the views to the Dachstein all get mentioned.
Size is the main target of criticism. Few installations are left, and the area is openly called too little for a week: a confident skier covers everything in half a day. The snowpark is described as token, there are no cross-country trails at the base, and no hut has been built at the very top, so eating means descending. Demanding terrain is scarce, and the four-mountain circuit at Schladming next door works against it.
