Grooming earns the praise: guests write that freshly prepared corduroy waits every morning and that the lifts run briskly without hold-ups. Despite the modest altitude the snow holds better than you might expect. The upper section is steeper and more interesting for sporty skiers while staying emptier than the lower slopes. The resort is called compact, family-friendly and very scenic, with the Zugspitze panorama coming up review after review.

Inconsistent piste conditions are the sore point: on bad days visitors met either ice or unpacked deep snow, and some found several runs too flat. One account describes a blue run closed without warning at the point of buying the pass. The area is small and can be covered in a couple of days, yet the pass is considered expensive. Ski buses stop too early in the evening, so a taxi is needed to get back, and parking is short at weekends.
