What visitors say about the resort
Les Angles is liked for its homely feel and for covering a mixed group: there is something for every level, the newer cabins shield you from the wind, and the children's instructors collect particular thanks. Reviewers enjoy the view over Lake Matemale, the affordable pass, the snowpark, the spa complex and a compact village you can walk around.
Wind and hardware are the recurring gripes. Lifts here close often, drag lifts far outnumber chairs, and several lines are overdue for replacement. During school holidays the queues put people off skiing altogether. The southerly aspect brings spring snow and black ice, and cover at the start and end of the season is unpredictable. Advanced skiers run out of options: black runs can be counted on one hand and off-piste is scarce. Après-ski is quiet, there is no large supermarket nearby, and some find the vertical too small for what the pass costs.
