The ski resort stretches across Kemahdhöhe between the villages of Altenmarkt and Radstadt. The pistes are linked by modern lifts, and the resort is popular with both beginners and experts. The ski mountain is also part of the Salzburger Sportwelt and Ski Amadé ski areas. The winter sports resort offers activities including skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing on a floodlit run. Altenmarkt is also quickly accessible from Zauchensee by ski bus.

Worth knowing

Most of the pistes at the resort are easy and intermediate. The pistes are very wide and ideal for carving. Funslope Königslehen, Beginner Park Kemahdhöhe and Fichtelland Hochbifang, including Fichtelwald adventure forest and Kidsrun, offer a range of entertainment for the whole family.

There is a valley run from the pistes. All valley runs lead to the base stations in Radstadt (Königslehen) and Altenmarkt (Hochbifang).

Longest piste

The longest run here is FIS-Hochbifang and Nössler, 4 km long, with a vertical drop of 686 m. From Kemahdhöhe to Altenmarkt Hochbifang.

Most difficult piste

The most difficult is Hauber, 0.6 km long, with a vertical drop of 160 m.

Skiline.

The lifts in the Radstadt-Altenmarkt ski area are among the most modern in Austria. Since the opening of the 10-passenger Hochbifangbahn lift in 2011/2012, the ski resort has been home to one of the longest gondola lifts in the Ski Amadé area. The lift runs from Altenmarkt to Kehmahdhöhe. The 8-passenger Königslehenbahn gondola also takes skiers to Kehmahdhöhe from Radstadt via an intermediate station. Two other 4-seater chairlifts, one with a cover, also converge at Kemahdhöhe, bringing the total to four lifts. There are also button lifts for beginners. Ski schools have magic carpets.

Getting there

The most convenient way to reach the Radstadt-Altenmarkt ski resort is from Salzburg, home to the nearest international airport. The distance is 70 km, and the journey takes 50 minutes.
