This vertical drop allows you to ski from top to bottom without changing lifts and noticeably changes the conditions during the descent. The upper pistes are high, so the snow stays longer than on the neighbouring lower slopes. The season usually runs from December 13 to April 17.

Visitors praise the quiet and the authenticity: this is a real Savoyard village with stone houses and a church rather than a purpose-built 1970s station, and the whole of the Three Valleys is still reachable by lift. A local point of pride is the restaurants: several hold Michelin listings, including the three-starred La Bouitte.
The complaint is that there is nothing to do in the evening: après-ski barely exists here and people head to neighbouring Les Menuires for any life. Strong skiers find the local slopes limited, with the harder terrain further up the valley. The link to the rest of the Three Valleys rests on two lifts and closes in wind or heavy snow. Lodging and dining cost more than at the neighbours.
