Via Lattea - Sestriere/Sauze d’Oulx/San Sicario/Claviere/Montgenèvre

In 2006, the Via Lattea ski resort hosted the Turin Winter Olympics. The ski region stretches from Sestriere in Italy to Montgenèvre in France.

Via Lattea has slopes for all ability levels. The area also features many attractive landscapes, including the treeless Alma areas, slopes through pine forests and sections with evergreen trees. Very long runs can be enjoyed throughout the ski resort.

Via Lattea combines modern chairlifts and gondolas. The ski resort has both modern and older lifts. In particular, on the connecting routes from Sauze d’Oulx to Monte Fraiteve and from Cesana to Monti della Luna, you will find fixed-grip two-seater chairlifts.

Total: 400 km

Artificial snow is made on 50% of the slopes.

Valley runs lead to almost all base stations, except for the section from Sansicario to Cesana.

Longest run

The longest run here is Monte Fraiteve - Sansicario Pariol, 7 km long with a vertical drop of 1100 m. Easy and intermediate slopes can be skied without stopping from Monte Fraiteve to Pariol, the mid-station of the Cesana Ski Lodge gondola.

Most difficult run

The most difficult is Slope 32 La Motta in Sestriere, 0.8 km long with a vertical drop of 320 m.

The run leads from the mountain station to the base station of the La Motta drag lift.

Snowparks

There is no snowpark or fun park.

There is no halfpipe.

Night skiing

Night skiing is available at the ski resort.
