What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for the family feel and the calm: queues are rare, and the slopes above the village suit both first-timers and confident skiers. Value comes up often, since outside school holidays a day pass costs under fifteen euros, unusual anywhere in the Portes du Soleil. The valley itself is liked too: spruce forest, a traditional village around the abbey and enjoyable tree skiing.
Size is what draws criticism. The local area is exhausted in a day or two, and with no direct link to the main circuit a full Portes du Soleil pass and a drive are needed. Stronger skiers miss demanding terrain. The village is the other gripe: weekend traffic clogs the centre and parking is hard to find, while regulars say new building is eroding its authenticity. Apres-ski is minimal, and reviewers recall that the resort once shut for lack of snow.
