Value and beginner comfort are what visitors highlight: passes, lodging and food cost noticeably less than in the big-name Dolomite resorts, a pizza in a mountain hut runs to about ten euros, and the ski school is singled out as a strength. The pistes are wide and well groomed, empty outside weekends, the sun shines often, and getting here by car is straightforward.

Low altitude and dated lifts draw the criticism. Winters increasingly run on artificial snow, with thaws and rain part of the picture. Chairs approaching forty years old crawl uphill without hoods or footrests, and there is no gondola at all. The link runs between sectors are narrow, partly flat and unfenced, which feels genuinely unpleasant in poor visibility, while the signage confuses people. Steep terrain is absent, après-ski thin, few hotels sit on the snow, and a bus ride separates the village from the main lift.
