Trail information
Good to know
The ski resort stretches from Val Rendena and Pinzolo through the traditional winter sports resort of Madonna di Campiglio to Folgàrida and Marilleva in Val di Sole. It offers pistes for all levels of skiing and snowboarding.
Lifts and pistes
Almost all the ski resort's slopes are accessible by gondola lifts and chairlifts. The Pinzolo ski area was linked from the 2011/2012 season. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, there are other winter sports activities, including cross-country skiing, winter hiking, snowshoeing, ice skating and much more.
Although the villages of Marilleva and Folgàrida first opened to tourism in the 1960s, Madonna di Campiglio had already been a holiday destination in the second half of the 19th century. Evidence of visits by the Habsburg imperial couple Sissi and Franz Joseph I appears in geographical names and event names. World Cup races are also held at the winter sports resort.

What visitors say about the resort
Madonna di Campiglio is valued for combining a beautiful town with serious skiing: around 150 km of pistes, the famous Canale Miramonti and well-groomed slopes. Its nightlife and restaurants receive praise, and by Italian standards the resort is considered upscale.
Criticism focuses on prices that are above the Trentino average and on the imperfect connection between the Folgàrida and Marilleva sectors, where transfers take time. Lift queues during Italian school holidays are another frequent complaint.
