Alpe Cermis - Cavalese

Alpe Cermis ski resort is easily accessible by cable car from Cavalese. The winter sports area above Cavalese has one of the longest ski runs in the Dolomiti Superski region. The Olimpia piste is 7.5 km long and runs from the Paion mountain station (2,250 m) to the valley floor (Fondovalle) at an elevation of 860 m. Its north-western aspect provides optimal snow conditions well into spring. A major attraction is the stunning panorama of the Dolomites, which continues to amaze skiers visiting the resort.

Good to know

Alpe Cermis has pistes of all difficulty levels. However, almost all the pistes are easy or intermediate. The runs are wide and blend beautifully into the landscape. In the lower part of the ski resort, pistes descend through forest clearings towards the valley. The highlight is the 7.5 km Olimpia piste (I, II and III), along with the Via del Bosco children's run.

All pistes are covered by 105 snow cannons.

Valley access is available The base station is located at the bottom of the valley (Fondovalle), at an elevation of 860 metres. From there, you can take the gondola up to Alpe Cermis ski resort or in the other direction to Cavalese. There are no pistes leading directly to Cavalese because the village is on the other side of the valley, so you have to take the gondola to reach the resort.

Longest piste

The longest run here is Olimpia (I, II and III), 7.5 km long, with a vertical drop of 1,390 m.

Most difficult piste

The most challenging section is Olimpia II, 3 km long, with a vertical drop of 637 m.

Snowparks

There is no snowpark or fun park.

There is no halfpipe.

Night skiing

The ski resort offers night skiing.

From the village of Cavalese (1,000 m), you take the 8-seater Cavalese-Fondovalle gondola down to the valley floor (Fondovalle). This is where the Alpe Cermis ski resort pistes end. The 8-seater Fondovalle-Doss dei Laresi lift takes you to the intermediate station at Doss dei Laresi. There, you change to the modern 8-seater Doss dei Laresi-Cermis gondola, which takes you to almost 2,000 m and the Cermis mountain station. At the top of Alpe Cermis, three detachable high-speed chairlifts, one with weather protection, provide access to all the pistes. Surface lifts are available for beginners.
