What visitors say about the resort
Sun and quiet earn the praise: the lifts are nicknamed the sunny ones, the slopes stay lit almost all day even in December, and the place feels empty even in high season. The Boudin and Pian Pera runs are called wide, gentle and safe, and the top station opens a view of Monte Rosa. The kids' area with carpets and a ski school, unpretentious family huts and one of the best value ratios in Aosta Valley all get credit.
The main gripe is that the area has no lift link to the main Monterosa Ski domain - reaching the big terrain means a ski bus. Because the slopes face south, snow and light are good only until roughly one in the afternoon, after which the surface softens. There are few runs and almost nothing steep, so strong skiers tire of it fast. Outside high season some hotels and restaurants run limited hours, and finding dinner can be awkward.
