What visitors say about the resort
Calm and value are what reviewers like: wide, tidily groomed runs with snowmaking over most of them, friendly lift staff and a reasonable day ticket. It suits families, school groups and anyone wanting an easy day on skis without the crush of the big resorts. The Estoul-Palasinaz cross-country centre is a point of pride, with FIS-homologated loops that host international nordic and biathlon races.
Scale and lifts attract criticism. There are few runs and essentially two lifts, and the Estoul chair is very old - a forest of towers, a long string of chairs and a ride so slow that one visitor called it the slowest they had ever taken; its maker went bankrupt, which complicates any replacement. Natural snow low down is thinning year by year. The pass is shared with Monterosa Ski, but no ski link reaches the main area, and some find the price out of proportion to what Brusson offers.
