Belpiano (Schöneben)/Malga San Valentino (Haideralm)

From the 2018/2019 winter season, the neighboring ski resorts of Belpiano (Schöneben) and Malga San Valentino (Haideralm) merged to create the Belpiano (Schöneben)/Malga San Valentino (Haideralm) ski resort. The different areas of the winter sports resort are now conveniently connected by pistes and lifts.

The Belpiano (Schöneben) - Malga San Valentino (Haideralm) ski resort stretches from the northern shore of Reschen Lake (Reschen) through Belpiano (Schöneben) and the Rojen Valley to St. Valentin auf der Haide, south of the lake, and on to Malga San Valentino (Haideralm). It offers pistes of all difficulty levels for relaxed skiing without queues. Thanks to its high-altitude location where South Tyrol, North Tyrol and Engadin meet, as well as efficient snowmaking equipment, this sunny winter sports resort in Val Venosta (Vinschgau) offers reliable snow through late spring.

Other highlights of the Belpiano (Schöneben) - Malga San Valentino (Haideralm) ski resort include the famous Snowpark and Funslope at Belpiano (Schöneben), as well as the beautiful valley run from Malga San Valentino (Haideralm) to St. Valentin. At nearby Reschen Lake (Reschen), you can also go ice skating, kiteboarding, boating and cross-country skiing.

Good to know

At the Belpiano (Schöneben)/Malga San Valentino (Haideralm) ski resort, you can find pistes of all difficulty levels. There is a good balance between easy and intermediate slopes. The challenging slopes are located below Zwölfer. From Belpiano (Schöneben), the long and easy Erlebnispiste takes you to Malga San Valentino (Haideralm). The slopes are generally very wide and perfectly groomed.

Longest piste

The longest run here is the Fraiten descent/valley descent, 4.8 km long, with a vertical drop of 930 m.

Most difficult piste

Zwölferkopf II. Length: 1.2 km. Vertical drop: 363 m.

Snowparks

There is no halfpipe.

Since the 2018/2019 season, two modern 10-person gondola lifts have connected Malga San Valentino (Haideralm) with Belpiano (Schöneben). Except for the three-person Zwölferkopf chairlift, all chairlifts are detachable and have weather-protection covers. From the valley, a six-person gondola lift takes visitors to the ski area. There are no longer any lifts at the Belpiano (Schöneben) ski resort. In the Malga San Valentino (Haideralm) ski area, only one button lift is still operating.
