Kaunertaler Glacier- a small ski resort in the Tyrol region of Austria. Its notable share of difficult runs makes it appealing to confident skiers and freeriders.
Good to know
The ski area rises from 2,180 to 3,113 m, with a vertical drop of 933 m. This is enough for long runs with noticeable changes in terrain. The upper pistes are at high altitude, so snow lasts longer than on the neighbouring lower slopes. The season usually runs from 2 October to 24 May.
Pistes by difficulty
The resort has 22 km of intermediate, 19 km of difficult and 13 km of expert pistes. A total of 27 pistes are marked.
