What visitors say about the resort
Snow earns the praise. Over 320 inches a winter fall on north facing terrain, so powder holds in the glades for days after a storm, and the reputation for the best snow in Idaho recurs in reviews year after year. The second constant is empty slopes: plenty of visitors report no lift lines even at weekends. The terrain covers every level, from learner fields to black runs and tree skiing.
Slow chairlifts are the standing grievance, with calls for faster lifts repeated review after review. As more people move to Idaho the lines have grown, the parking fills and arriving guests get turned away, and fresh snow is tracked out almost at once. Many call the season pass overpriced for the terrain on offer. The base lodge is cramped and dated, the green runs are a stretch for true beginners, there is no slopeside lodging, and dining nearby is thin.
