The resort stands by the town of Chongli in Hebei province, 226 kilometres northwest of Beijing, and its name is the Chinese rendering of "Dolomiti": the Alpine model was the reference from the start. The area is small, three lifts, but snowmaking is total and the slopes hold snow for up to a hundred and fifty days a year. The runs are mostly intermediate. Around it lies the whole Chongli ski cluster, which grew up for the 2022 Olympics.

What visitors say about the resort
The praise goes to the calm and to the learning conditions. The runs are long, wide and gentle, and the base has a big flat field in front of the lodge, two magic carpets and a kids' park. The ski school staffed by New Zealand instructors and the family-oriented deals get separate mentions. On weekdays there are few people about, and visitors report getting in more descents per day than at busier Wanlong next door. The lodge's Italian theme is liked too: proper pizza and coffee alongside the hotpot.
Scale is what gets criticised. There are only three lifts and two or three ways down, so confident skiers run out of interest fast. The comparison with Wanlong is blunt: roughly a fifth of the groomed terrain and noticeably weaker infrastructure. Over public holidays the place fills up and the lift queue becomes a real wait.
