Espace Lumière - Pra Loup/Val d’Allos

Pra Loup is one of the largest resorts in the Southern Alps. It is one of the two resorts that make up «Espace Lumière», with a huge ski area linking the Ubaye Valley with Val d'Allos and offering more than 180 km of pistes.

The resort is considered one of the best in France for snowmaking. Snow cannons cover most of the pistes. They are used at the start of the season to ensure good snow cover, and again at the end of the season to keep the ski season going for as long as possible.

The purpose-built resort was established in 1961 and named after the former inhabitants of this impressive location - mountain wolves. Pra Loup consists of 2 villages: Molanès at 1500 m (Pra Loup 1500) and Pra Loup at 1600 m, which is the main and larger village. Most shops, cafés and bars are within easy reach of the slopes.

The resort places a strong emphasis on family facilities and an excellent lift system linked to La Foux d'Allos in «La Liberté de l'Espace». The Pra Loup gondola is ideal for guests and beginners, as it runs directly from the village to the sunny slopes, with a nearby restaurant and stunning views.
