Korbielów - Pilsko

The vertical and the length of the runs are the draw: by Polish standards the drop is impressive, and run number five stretches some four and a half kilometres, among the two longest in the country. The pistes lie on Pilsko's northern flank, so snow survives and skiing into April is realistic. Visitors also like the spread of difficulty levels and the friendly lift crews.

Lifts, prices and parking take the flak. The first stage of T-bars is single-track and builds a serious morning queue, the upper lifts cannot digest the flow, and some short drags to the summit were simply not running, with the ticket office saying nothing. The mid-mountain cableway was frequently out of action, and when it ran it took about twenty minutes with stoppages. Passes rose sharply after the change of owner. Car parks are lacking and the Miziowa to Szczawiny section has no snowmaking.
