The Arcalís ski resort is in the municipality of Ordino, in the most remote corner of Andorra. The ski resort belongs to the Vallnord ski alliance along with Pal-Arinsal, although Arcalís is not connected to Pal-Arinsal. Arcalís is the smallest resort in Andorra, but offers great variety.

Slopes of all difficulty levels and extensive open terrain make the ski resort highly appealing to beginners, experienced skiers and freeriders alike.

Most of the ski resort is served by high-speed detachable chairlifts. There are also two fixed-grip four-seat chairlifts, as well as several drag lifts.

Connection information

The Vallnord alliance includes Arcalís, Pal and Arinsal. Arcalís stands alone, while Pal and Arinsal are connected by a cable car.

What visitors say about the resort

Ordino Arcalís is praised for its snow and freeriding: its north-facing slopes hold their cover better than anywhere else in Andorra, while its off-piste terrain is considered the best in the country. Visitors also note the lack of crowds - people come here to ski, not to stroll around.

Criticism focuses on the resort's size and infrastructure: there is almost no accommodation by the slopes, so visitors must travel up from the valley. Wind is another issue, as it can lead to the upper lifts being closed. Visitors also complain that there is little to do in the area in the evening.
