Pal and Arinsal are two sectors above the La Massana valley, the second-largest area in Andorra, joined to one another by cable car, with a further gondola rising into Pal straight from the village. Pal is almost entirely wooded, its runs threading between pines; Arinsal is higher and more open. The area belongs to the Vallnord grouping, but there is no ski link to its third member, Arcalís - a bus runs there instead. Andorra permits heliskiing, and it is offered from here as well.
