Pal/Arinsal - La Massana

Pal/Arinsal is the second-largest ski resort in Andorra. It is located in the municipality of La Massana. The ski resort's lifts rise from La Massana and Arinsal, and the resort is divided into two sections, Pal and Arinsal, which are linked by a cable car. The ski resort is part of the Vallnord ski resort association together with Arcalís, although Arcalís is not linked to Pal/Arinsal.

The resort can be reached by gondola lifts from La Massana and Arinsal. There is no direct access to the slopes from these points. A chairlift (1550 m) ascends from Valley run to Cota and also runs through the valley. Almost all of the ski resort's slopes can be accessed by chairlifts, most of them high-speed detachable chairlifts. The Pal and Arinsal sections are linked by a cable car.

Good to know

Most of the slopes are easy or intermediate. The complementary Pal and Arinsal sections make the ski resort attractive and varied. There are also several black runs and off-piste opportunities for advanced skiers.

Connection information

The Vallnord ski resort association consists of three resorts: Pal, Arinsal and Arcalís. Pal and Arinsal are linked by a cable car, but Arcalís is unfortunately not connected to them.

There are 296 snow cannons, providing snowmaking on 68% of the slopes.

Pal/Arinsal has one valley run leading to La Cota. There are no valley runs to La Massana or Arinsal. They can only be reached by gondola. The village of Pal is approximately 2.5 km from the ski resort, and there is no valley run here.

Longest run

The longest run here is Valley run to Cota 1550 m, with a length of 7 km and a vertical drop of 1010 m. It starts at the highest point in Arinsal and descends to Valley run to Cota at 1550 m.

Most difficult run

La Comalleda. Length: 1.5 km. Vertical drop: 300 m.
