What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for Pista del Bosco, a red run of roughly 700 metres vertical and four kilometres from the Gremei hut through dense conifer forest to the village; locals rate it among the finest and most demanding descents in the Bergamo area, and it is the one run here with snowmaking. Reviewers also value the absence of crowds - empty lifts, helpful staff, and one serious forest descent to work on.
What draws criticism is how much of the resort is gone. The lifts on the Torcola Soliva side have not run since 2005; after a brief revival between 2010 and 2012 the old gondola, the single-seat chair to the hut and a drag lift were dismantled for good, leaving skiing confined to the Torcola Vaga slope and a couple of lifts. Visitors call openly for snowmaking on the forest run and for the closed lifts to return. A 15.4 million euro revival project spent years in permitting.
