What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for the setting and the terrain: the views and the severity of the slopes are called the most striking in Chile, and the chutes and bowls are the main draw for strong skiers. Almost everyone notes the lack of crowds - lift lines are rare. The slingshot lifts, which haul several skiers up side by side, exist nowhere else, and the hotel's outdoor pools and spa earn praise.
The infrastructure is criticised as dated, the lifts as slow and antique, and the value as poor, with constant extra charges on the mountain. The food wears thin over a week, and you cannot leave midweek: arrivals are only on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There are few runs, two big ones plus short pitches on the sides. Easy terrain is scarce, the gentler runs are steeper than usual, and the slingshot lifts demand real technique. The switchback access road needs chains and closes in bad weather.
