Reviewers like the modern hooded eight-seater with heated seats, the six-seater with child restraints, and the fact that you can reach Bayrischzell from Munich by public transport.

Overcrowding is the main complaint: parking runs short and ticket desks and lifts draw queues of several hundred people. The blue runs disappoint, either almost flat or narrow, steep and mogulled, while the reds are wider and better maintained. Under that traffic the pistes turn to ice and bumps by mid-morning. Signage is thin, visitors say they would be lost without a map, and boards at lift exits are especially poor. Some regulars feel staff grew less welcoming after the Waldkopf construction.
