Sulden am Ortler (Solda all'Ortles)

Good to know

The ski resort offers a wide range of varied pistes on three mountain slopes. The resort has wide carving slopes, long forest runs, easy slopes and numerous ski pistes. The three sections of the ski resort on Langenstein, Kanzel and Schöntaufspitze are linked by a valley piste. You have to travel a short distance between Langenstein and Kanzel.

The three parts of the ski resort surrounding Schöntaufspitze / Kanzel and Langenstein are linked only by a valley piste.

All slopes have snowmaking.

There is a descent to the valley from the slopes. Long runs of varying difficulty lead from all sections of the ski resort down to the valley. There are also two ungroomed ski routes leading downhill. From Kanzel, a blue run leads down to the valley. The valley run in the Schöntauf area is rated black and is not recommended for beginners, but in reality it is not too steep.

Longest piste

The longest descent here is the Schöntauf Valley run, 11 km long, with a vertical drop of 1,350 m. From the top station of the Schöntauf II chairlift, you ski along the wide, sweeping blue Madritsch piste. From there, the red valley run branches off and becomes the black Kanonenrohr piste at the gondola's middle station.

Most difficult piste

The most difficult run is Gran Zebru, 1.8 km long, with a vertical drop of 390 m. The black Gran Zebru panoramic piste is located to the left of the Schöntauf II chairlift and branches off from the red piste of the same name.

Night skiing

The ski resort offers night skiing.

In Sulden, comfortable lifts transport winter sports enthusiasts throughout the ski resort. Two cableway lifts and three chairlifts, two of them weather-protected, provide access to the area around Schöntaufspitze. At Kanzel, there is a double chairlift and a new 10-person gondola that leads to an elevation of 2,450 m. At Langenstein, two fixed-grip chairlifts take skiers to the slopes.
