What visitors say about the resort

Thredbo is valued for Australia's biggest vertical drop - almost seven hundred metres - and its valley village, the only one in the country with a genuine resort atmosphere. Visitors praise the long Supertrail and the nightlife.

Drawbacks: the ski area is narrow, there are not many pistes, and there is nowhere to ski in poor weather. The second issue is the cost of both lift passes and accommodation. Visitors also complain about the wind, which causes the upper chairlifts to close.
