Ski resorts in Australia

4 resorts

Australian resorts operate from June to September and are concentrated in the Snowy Mountains in the southeast of the country, in the states of New South Wales and Victoria. Elevations are modest - the upper stations are just above 2,000 m - but there is enough snow at these latitudes, and snowmaking systems cover almost all the main slopes.

Perisher- the largest resort in the Southern Hemisphere by number of lifts. Thredbo has the biggest vertical drop in the country, while Mount Hotham in Victoria is known for its village standing on a ridge, with pistes running down from it.
