Vigla Pisoderi lies on Mount Verno in Greek Macedonia, near the town of Florina and the Albanian and North Macedonian borders. The area is small, five lifts, but besides the groomed pistes some seventeen kilometres of ungroomed routes are marked. The slopes run through beech forest, making this one of the few Greek resorts where you ski among trees. Nearby lie the Prespa lakes, protected country where brown bears still live.

Snow is what earns Vigla its reputation: reviewers call it the most snow-sure resort in Greece, with a season that reliably runs from December into April and untracked powder after storms. Grooming scores highly, as does the friendliness of the lift crews. The runs cut through forest, which keeps visibility usable in flat light. The approach straight off the main road and the panorama over the Prespa lakes also get mentioned.
Hardware and service are where the complaints land: visitors describe the lifts as belonging to another era and the rental gear as plain bad, a grumble that repeats across visits. The shortage of infrastructure common to Greek resorts applies here too. The terrain is seen as monotonous - a weekend is about right, a full week would run out of things to ski. Childcare and apres-ski rate weakly, and getting there without a car is awkward.
