Trail information
Vlašić is equally distant from the Adriatic Sea and the region's major cities, but is served by good roads. The highest peak of Vlašić is Opalenik (1943 m). Snow lies there for more than five months a year. This mountain is quite comfortable for a long stay. Tourist facilities in Vlašić are well developed, and besides hotels, there are many cottages available for rent. Interesting events and competitions are held throughout the season. Vlašić is well connected to the town of Travnik and forms the basis of winter tourism in this area. Several years ago, it was known for the Vlašić Trophy ski jumping competition, held on a 90-metre jump hill. It was one of the southernmost and most natural jump venues in Europe. Vlašić received the Silver Snowflake award for the best ski resort. The resort has six lifts with a capacity of 5,150 skiers per hour.
