What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for the calm family format: the resort regularly appears on lists of the most child-friendly areas in Salzburg province. Two gondolas, the eight-seat Ikarus reaching Bischlinghöhe in six minutes and the Rosnerköpfl village lift, move enough people that queues are rare even at weekends. Every run is covered by snowmaking, and hut food is cheap.
Piste preparation is what draws criticism. Early-winter reports describe runs that had effectively not been groomed, ice across their full width and slabs of crust underfoot. The ticket office took its share too: asked about conditions, one guest was told the resort is not responsible for the state of the snow. The sharpest complaint is price, since the pass costs the same as the far larger Ski Amadé area. Strong skiers miss black pistes.
