Zillertal Arena - Zell am Ziller/Gerlos/Königsleiten/Hochkrimml

Stretching from Zillertal in Tyrol to Pinzgau in Land Salzburg, Zillertal Arena offers guests an unrivalled variety of ski slopes. Diverse, family-friendly and reliable, Zillertal Arena has something for everyone. The winter sports area offers a wide choice of runs. Free WiFi is available throughout the ski resort.

Zillertal Arena regularly upgrades its lifts. Modern feeder lifts connect different villages with the ski resort. Since the 2016/2017 season, Dorfbahn Gerlos has provided direct access to the ski resort from Zell am Ziller. The 10-person gondola sets new standards for service. Rohr and Gerlosplatte offer state-of-the-art chairlifts with weather protection. As a result, Gerlos now features modern gondola lifts. However, most chairlifts do not have weather protection.

Good to know

Zillertal Arena offers slopes for everyone. Zell am Ziller has many easy slopes. Isokogel and Rohr are dominated by intermediate slopes. In Rohr, you can ski a sensational 1,920 m of vertical drop in one run.

Connection information

The Gerlosstein ski resort in Hainzenberg is included in the Zillertal Arena lift pass, but it can only be reached by ski bus.

890 snow cannons cover 80% of the slopes.

Longest run

The longest descent here is Übergangsjoch in Rohr down to the valley via No. 22, No. 19, No. 18 and No. 10, covering 11 km with a vertical drop of 1,920 m. In the 2015/2016 season, the valley run to Rohr opened. It descends from Übergangsjoch at 2,500 m to the base in Rohr.

Most difficult runs

The most difficult is the Valley run Rohr No. 10, covering 2.5 km with a vertical drop of 728 m. Since the 2015/2016 season, the valley run has led from the middle station of the Karspitz lift to Rohr.

Ski resort routes

Rohr-Zell am Ziller-Gerlos-Königsleiten and back. This is a great way to explore the ski resort. The tour takes around 5 hours when skiing at a good pace without breaks.
