Chuenisbärgli / Silleren / Hahnenmoos / Metsch is the largest ski resort in the Adelboden-Lenk region of the Bernese Alps. It is also one of the largest and most athletically appealing ski resorts in Switzerland. Efficient, modern lifts offer guests a very high level of comfort on the slopes. Many traditional mountain restaurants, rustic huts and fashionable snow bars provide charm and hospitality. A ski-cross course and permanent race course on Silleren, a speed measurement course and a snowpark add variety to this winter sports resort. The highlight is the SkiMovie race course on the Chuenisbärgli World Cup slope. The Gran Masta Park (GMP) on Hahnenmoos offers freestylers excellent jumps and rails.

Worth knowing

The Adelboden-Lenk ski resort offers slopes of all difficulty levels. You can ski across treeless slopes from Sillerenbühl via Geils to Lavey, Hahnenmoos and Luegli. Wide slopes lead down from Metschstand towards Lenk. On the Chuenisbärgli World Cup slope, where you can ski in the tracks of World Cup legends, SkiMovie race courses await. Night skiing, a ski-cross park and additional race courses are also available at the ski resort.

Total: 86 km

There are valley runs from the slopes. Two easy valley runs lead to Adelboden. From Metsch, you have to take the gondola back to Lenk because there is no valley run into Lenk.

Night skiing

Night skiing is available at the ski resort.

The Adelboden-Lenk ski resort has almost exclusively the most modern lifts. Since the 2014/2015 season, the first 10-person gondola in the Bernese Alps has taken guests from Lenk to the ski resort. Almost all the pistes at the ski resort are accessible by detachable high-speed chairlifts. Most chairlifts have weather protection, while the Lavey lift also has heated seats. From Adelboden, a long 6-person gondola with two intermediate stations takes guests to the ski resort. Additional lifts and training lifts are spread throughout the ski resort.

What visitors say about the resort

Adelboden is valued for its World Cup event on the “Kühnenrutsche” and its scale: around 200 km together with Lenk. Visitors praise the genuine Bernese village below and the good piste grooming.

Criticism focuses on the altitude - the base is at 1,350 m, so the lower slopes suffer during thaws - and the spread-out sectors: you have to take a bus between Adelboden and Lenk. Visitors also report queues at Chuenisbärgli on weekends.
