Crans-Montana is located on a sunny plateau high above the Rhône Valley, in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. It can be reached by winding roads or by funicular from Sierre. Gondola lifts run from Crans and Montana directly to the ski resort.

Things to know

Crans-Montana-Aminona offers mainly easy and intermediate slopes. The pistes are located on a sunny plateau high above the Rhône Valley. FIS-approved slopes, the pistes on the Plaine Morte glacier and the superb panoramic view of Bella Lui are the resort's main highlights.

35% of the slopes have snowmaking.

There is a descent from the slopes into the valley. The valley run leads to all the gondola base stations in Crans, Montana, Barzettes-Violettes and Aminona.

The longest descent here is From Plaine Morte to Barzettes-Violettes, with a length of 8 km and a vertical drop of 1372 m. The longest slope in the region

The most difficult run is Gina, with a length of 1 km and a vertical drop of 200 m.

Four gondola lifts, from older to more modern models, run from Crans, Montana and Violettes to the ski resort. The Funitel, a wind-resistant gondola lift with two parallel cables, takes guests from Plaine Morte to an altitude of 2883 m. Numerous detachable chairlifts are distributed throughout the ski resort, but none has protective covers. There are also several T-bars available for beginners.
